Grenade Parade Overdrive Pedal
This is our clone of an Angry Charlie*. The original is an ultimate, high gain amp-in-a-box. We love that it goes from bluesy low gain to chugging high gain with excellent tone shaping controls. We also really like how much fun it is to experiment with a feedback loop on a high gain pedal, so we added one to make this pedal extra explosive. Flipping the "Detonate" switch feeds the signal back into itself creating oscillating feedback. Have fun adjusting the knobs to shift the feedback pitch, or you can twist the volume knob on your guitar to achieve the same effect. Time to pull the pin.
Knobs and switch descriptions:
Primer: This is the volume.
Impact: This is the gain.
Charge: This is the tone broken into high, mid and low controls for ultimate tone shaping capabilities.
Detonate (Toggle Switch): Flip this to activate the feedback loop. It's like pulling the pin on this overdrive.
NOTE: This pedal uses a feedback loop to create the oscillation effect. This means that it sends the output signal from the pedal back into its input. It matters where you place it in your signal chain. For best results, have it as the first pedal in your chain or only place it after true bypass pedals that are turned off. Also, it works best with passive pickups. If you have active pickups and are not getting the feedback results you would like, try a guitar with passive pickups.
This pedal has true bypass switching and requires a 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel.
