Wobbly Old Tapes Delay Pedal

Built around the original OLD TAPES circuit, this version adds RATE and DEPTH knobs for wobbly instability on repeats. We also added a HOLD/DAMP toggle that changes how the momentary footswitch behaves, and the RAMP knob controls how quickly things spiral—either climbing into self-oscillation (HOLD) or collapsing back down (DAMP).

Available in white with RYB knobs, white with black knobs, or pink with black knobs.

Knob Description:

Time: Controls the length of the repeats. Fully counterclockwise is about 30ms up to about 625ms fully clockwise

Cycles: This sets the regeneration of the delay line. Take it from a single repeat fully counterclockwise up to self oscillation fully clockwise.

Mix: Adjusts the output volume of the effected signal. Unity is around noon and everything above that boosts the delayed signal louder than the original. This acts as a gain control, so expect the signal to introduce noise/distortion at louder settings.

EQ: Adjusts the tone of the delayed signal. You can use this control as a noise filter for longer delay times by setting it between fully counterclockwise and noon. This will remove any common noise from hyperextending the circuit.

Depth: Controls the amount of modulation.

Rate: Controls the speed of the modulation.

Bypass (Foot Switch): Turns the pedal on and off.

HOLD/DAMP Toggle Switch: Switches between HOLD and DAMP mode for the momentary footswitch

Momentary Footswitch: HOLD mode sends the delay into self-oscillation while pressed, then drops back to your set delay time. DAMP mode actively suppresses oscillation as long as it’s held.

This pedal has true bypass switching and requires a 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel (not included).
